The latest meetings took place on Wednesday, the third day of Pezeshkian’s stay in New York.
He held talks with Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, President of Sudan's Transitional Sovereign Council.
Pezeshkian earlier met with Lebanon's Prime Minister Najib Mikati, discussing the ongoing developments in the West Asia region and other parts of the world.
Before that meeting, Pezeshkian held talks with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah. The meeting took place at the Iranian president’s residence.
Pezeshkian told the Kuwaiti crown prince that enhancing ties among neighboring countries will help them promote security and stability in the region and establish their interests.
The president called Kuwait a friendly and brotherly country, and announced Iran’s readiness to develop bilateral cooperation in all fields.
He also spoke about the Gaza war and the Israeli regime’s crimes against humanity there, saying that Islamic countries are at least expected not to remain silent on those crimes and make unified efforts to stop the war and bloodshed in Gaza.
Kuwait’s crown prince, on his part, emphasized his country’s serious effort to develop ties with Iran under the Pezeshkian administration, saying that Kuwait has received positive messages from Tehran regarding interaction with the region and the world, which he said is of great value.
He said that regional countries should protect the region through cooperation and synergy. He also invited President Pezeshkian to attend an upcoming meeting of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, which was welcomed by Pezeshkian.
President Pezeshkian also hosted Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The two officials agreed that economic cooperation is further expanded between Iran and Pakistan.
Pezeshkian and Sharif explored ways to resolve problems in the way of implementing a joint gas pipeline project by the two countries.
They agreed that a joint working group is formed to address the afore-mentioned issues.
The Iranian president and the Pakistan PM discussed the Gaza war as well, with both emphasizing the need for unity among Islamic countries to exert pressure on Israel to stop its brutalities against the Palestinian people.
Jonas Gahr Støre, the prime minister of Norway, was another foreign leader who met with the Iranian president at his residence in New York on Wednesday.
And, President Pezeshkian held a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Radev.
Pezeshkian has previously met with several more top officials including his French counterpart Emmanual Macron, discussing international and regional issues.
